History

The lumber mill Hirt, in former times Bishopric lumber mill, was privatized in 1999 and continued as a building timber mill. By now about 30.000 solid cubic metres of spruce, larch and scotch Pine from best areas with fine firbres are brought to cut, manipulate, sort and season.

Large storage areas, a railway siding and the central location of our mill allows us to cut lengths of 4 to 12 metres and so we can service different clients and sales markets in Austria and abroad. Our best-trained and upgraded staff and our modern machinery ensure a careful and efficient handling of the valuable timber.

Personal contact with our clients and suppliers lets us react immediatly on special wishes and market changes.
